New to Us 2011 Itasca Ellipse 42QD

Just purchased new to us 2011 Itasca Ellipse 42QD. Looks new and handles fantastic. The tag axle really adds stability. Looking forward to our 1st trip in Feb to FL. Due to pick up last week of January and will use the following couple of weeks to get totally familiar with it before hitting the road.

DW says its 'too big'. It is 6 ft longer than our previous DP but what really makes it seem larger is the slides on opposite sides. It does have a tight place inside as you make your way back to the half-bath when both slides are in but doable. DW needs assistance walking due to occasional loss of balance but this is taken care of by me.

Will be towing a 2012 Buick La Crosse on a dolly.

Did a lot of research and really want to say thanks to fellow iRV2 members for their posts over the years on this DP. Learned a lot and everything has been fixed that ya'll reported.

Before our purchase we considered the Zephyr and different New Mar models before settling on this DP.

Thanks everyone - Richard

Congratulations you made a good choice. Nice coach. We have a '14 Tour and are very happy with it. I can drive 500 miles a day and still enjoy the drive. Best of luck. You probably already know that there is a winnebago-tour-tips group here on IRV2, here's the link --> http://www.irv2.com/forums/f101/winn...ps-161008.html
