Newbie-2016 Nav System and Radio Issues

Hi, I just picked up my very slightly used 2016 Via 25T a couple of weeks ago. I like many aspects of the rig but the nav system is terribly slow and unresponsive. Is this typical of the system or does mine need to be fixed or replaced? I was thinking of upgrading to the newer 9 inch display, but don't want to spend a bunch of money to get another slow, unresponsive unit. Thanks for any help-this is definitely a learning curve, starting out in an RV for the first time!

You didn't mention the brand or model of your Nav/stereo, perhaps if you contact them for help they might be able to help. You could also look on RV lots for another Winnebago with the same system if original equipment, and see if it works the same as yours.

Since you mention the RV was 'slightly used' I wonder if the previous owner corrupted the map files or something. You could go through the steps of updating or reloading those files and see if it improves.

There was an system update in April. I found that my GPS works much more quickly (but still not Garmin fast).

It's pretty easy to run the update, insert the sd card in an sd card reader, download the dock software, run the system update, then the map updates.

Plug it all back in, give it a swing and see if it's better. I bet it will be marginally better.

from WA State!

I found out a while ago that there will be no map updates for my in dash system. Only "cure" is to buy a new indash system or go to a seperate GPS's.
