No 12 power at the 7 pin trailer connector

I have a 2006 Sightseer on an F53 Chassis. Recently, I hooked up a new enclosed trailer to it and found that the trailer was not getting any power to run the interior lighting or charge the breakaway battery. Further investigating found that the trailer connector on the motorhome was wired, but I could not find where it was terminated or where it hit the fuse box.
Any suggestions?

Does your MH have a 6 or 7 pin connector. Most now come with a 6 pin and does not have a 12 volt power connection as the MH is not designed to pull a camper trailer.
Several people have run a separate wire from the coach batteries to toads to keep the battery charged while towing

It's a 7 pin flat connector (Pallock).

Most vehicles with the 7 pin (flat blade) connector ship from the factory with the 12v NOT connected. I have found the wire for the 12v in the engine compartment just wound up, near the fuse block on many vehicles - but not all. Sometimes it takes a bit of looking to fine it. Good hunting

I called Winnebago about my 2007 Voyage about 12V power for my Toad and was told they do not connect 12V power to the plug from the factory. They did not indicate it was wired for the 12V, left me with the feeling I would have to run the wire from the power source to the plug, but I did not specifically ask that question, so I am not sure.
Have not actually made the connection yet, so not sure it there is an existing wire or I will have to run one.

Mine did not have one there either when I wanted to hook up the toad wiring. I hooked a #12 wire to the generator house battery lead. It was close and I didn't have to run the full length of the coach. I installed a circuit breaker near the generator to protect the circuit. Works good.

One more thing. My plug did not have a pin in it for the wire. I had to order one from the connector manufacturer. If you find the same situation, let me know and I will dig up the information.

Our 06 Sunova did not have the 12v wired so I had to run a wire and fuse for it. Not sure why Winnebago does this, but it is not hard to fix.

Thanks all. Looks like I still have more work to do. It sounds like my best bet is to just add a wire and splice it into the Generator battery feed with an inline fuse. I would presume that a 30 amp inline fuse would be appropriate.

FYI I checked yesterday and the round seven pin connector on my RV does not have the 12 volt.

Desertrider,
On my 2000 Adventure I found the electric brake controller
wire coiled up under the dash. I used this wire to provide power to the 7 pin connector.
