No Brake Lights
Hi-- 03 Journey DL. Brake lights on motorhome do not come on when brakes are pressed. Turn signals work, flashers work.
Hooked up tow vehicle. Brake lights then do not work on motorhome or toad. But turn signals also work on toad and so do flashers.
I went to fuse box near front generator. I checked the fuses that have anything to do with the brakes but they look good.
Anyone have any idea why my brake lights are no longer working? thanks in advance.

Well....basically three things can cause this.
Blown fuse, bad brake switch, or bad wiring connection (bad plug or cutwire).
With what you have tried, find and check the brake switch.
Do you have air brakes?

What kind of chassis...if it is freightliner.
Here is a image of mine for a 2014 XL chassis.
Probably most are like this....on the valve assembly.

Yes, it is a freightliner chassis. I called Coachnet and they sent out a mobile tech. We are in Berlin, MD so they sent out this company Ferbee Enterprises. Guy was great! Also, Coachnet covered the call and first hour. The tech determined that there was no power going to brake switch, which is located under coach in front under steering wheel. We then decided easiest fix was to run a new source of power to it, with a fuse. Still not sure why, the power stopped going to it in the first place, but thats a project for another day.

Good to hear...
Not a big deal putting in a new wire.
It is not that important to find the cut or damage to the orig. wire at this time.
But when you have time you should attempt to trace it because there may be other wires that are still working, but damaged.
I suggest you get on the Freightlineraccess.com site and register your chassis. They have cable diagrams which show you haw things are connected.
