I have an 2002 Itasca Suncruiser. The Magnadyne 9900 radio quit the other day. I finally got a chance to troubleshoot. First checked to make sure radio was getting Power. the Red Wire worked correctly being energized continuously when on House power and cycling with the ignition switch when on Chassis power.

Rain diagnostics on the Chassis/House switch. Switch OK.

Checked the wiring from the switch to the radio. The yellow wire is open. I have traced as much of the wire I can, but could not locate a fuse even though the manual shows a fuse.

Anybody got any ideas or should I just run a jumper from the switch to the radio including a fuse.

Thanks

Keith Hardman

Recently the "inside" switches to start my generator quit working ... but the generator would start if you pushed the switch on the generator ...

The tech at the Winnebago factory identified one wire that had lost continuity ... he ran a new wire restoring the functionality of the inside switches ...

I think this might be relative to your electrical problem because our coaches are in the "older" category ... maybe as a test you can run some temporary wire(s) to your radio until you can restore power

Just got doing what you suggested. Had power to the Radio, worked normal, but no sound. Also, turned on TV and had no sound there.

Pulled the drawings to try and find where the open is. Seems there is a Deluxe Sound Power Filter. I suspect that is bad. Now I have to find it.

Thanks,

Keith Hardman

If your coach is like mine that filter is located behind the TV. You can't miss it. It is round and maybe 3 inches long and 3 inches in diameter. I am not if this is what you are looking for but it makes sense as it plugs into the TV and I believe it also controls the sound for the radio. Hope that helps.
