This is a heads up in case you run into the same thing.

We pulled into a RV park last month, set the parking brake but when I put the transmission in neutral the no parking brake warning started. The parking brakes were set for sure. Turned off the ignition and learned the warning doesn't stop. Also re-learned about the interlock that prevents the slides and jacks from being deployed when the (system thinks) the parking brake is not set.

It took about 5 minutes to figure out the wiring harness clip to the back of the parking brake knob mechanism under the dash right above the accelerator pedal had come off. I secure put it back and all was fixed.

The wire is kind of short and taught when the clip is engaged. Somehow the clip's safety lock had come undone and the toe of my foot must have kicked it off.

I believe the exact arrangement of component which provide this opportunity is probably specific to the 02-07 Journey/Meridian as they all have the same arrangement of driver area components.

Thanks for pointing out the a potential reason for the failure. It's surely a surprise when a person hits the slide extend button and nothing happens

We never had it happen on our Journey, but on a previous motorhome to that with a foot applied parking brake, I had knocked off the brake wire switch with my foot. It's good you mentioned that issue now as folks can think about it he next time they have a slide extension that won't extend or jacks that won't go down.
