Had used the A/C during the day and then shut it down. The next day, noticed the display for temp and room setting was blank. Turned off power to house battery's and then back on and display was working. A week or so later wanted to use the A/C and it would not come on; this was on shore power so used the gen set and still would not function. Checked circuit breakers for both the gen set and house panel and they were okay. The heat pump has started twice but majority of time will not work.

Everything else on the true air control seems to be fine; fan comes on, high/low speed works, and gas furnace works.

Would anyone have any thoughts or ideas on the cause of this problem.

You might unscrew the One-Place panel & check the connections on the temp control panel to see if any are loose. Sounds like a loose/intermittent Ground. Other folks on this forum who are more qualified, may have more to offer.

Also, on my rig (and my previous 2000 35U) I found that the A/C slider switch on the One Place temp control panel would not always be in the position it appeared to be. I had to exert a bit more pressure to ensure it was all the way to the "Cool" or "Elec Heat" positions.

Fred

When my main thermostat display went blank and all efforts to make it return failed I had to replace the thermostat. I ordered a new Coleman dual-stage heat pump thermostat (mine is black, part #105620-15-000) from Lichtsinn Motors in Forest City (telephone 800-343-6255) for $124.08. They will have the best price, and will work with you on the telephone to make sure you are ordering the right replacement. I know of others who have had to replace the thermostat too ...one has replaced it twice!

Same symptom on my Journey. I removed the thermostat on the monitor panel - the whole panel doesn't have to come off - and there is a 2 amp fuse on the thermostat board. It appeared to be good but was open. It is an old style auto fuse - long glass tube with metal caps on the ends - replaced it and all is fine now.

Thanks for the replies. Tried the suggestions and the a/c is still dead; heat pump has started to work though. Dealer thinks the circuit board may be bad so will have then test it for me.

Again thanks.
