Could be parking brake switch has a wire off, or needs adjusting.

My 01 Winn. had hydraulic jacks and slides , so I'll assume yours does also. With that said , my 08 FW has electric and they will not operate if the batteries are not somewhere in the 12.5-13 volts. What condition are your batteries in?

If you have a Workhorse chassis, there is a little white micro switch on the upped end of the parking brake pedal that can cause problems. They get corrosion and don't allow the circuit to complete.

You can test it with a jumper wire with two alligator clips on either end. Put one clip on the small bolt head that hold the switch to the pedal and the other clip to a good ground. If you then get the jacks and slide to work, the switch is bad.

Replacement switch runs about $8 and takes about two minutes to replace.

Best Regards!

We had the same problem a couple weeks ago. House batteries were dead as a door nail. Would not even take a charge from a charger anymore.

Try releasing the parking brake and then resetting it. That has worked for me in the past.

Hydraulics all O.K., if you have any leaks...unit will not operate...period. I have had hose failures and solenoid failures. Nothen would work until repaired.

What lights are showing on your control panel? Our's has a light that comes on when not in park. If the on light is on and the "not in park" light if off, does the pump run when you try to activate a slide or the jacks? We had a problem where everything looked OK and the pump would run, but the shuttle valve in the solenoid manifold was stuck so it wouldn't allow fluid to enter the solenoids to activate any of the hydraulic cylinders. There's also a pressure switch on the manifold that is used to activate the solenoids that could be bad.
