We noticed on our second to last rip out that the fridge portion was not cooling optimally. On our last trip, the fridge seemed to be working but then stopped cooling all together. On the front of the unit, the green power light blinks three times every couple of seconds. Any ideas before I seek out professional help?

Download your service manual from Bryant RV and go through the diagnostics.

The service manual may or may not mention the problem with dirty DC voltage. We have had some issues with converters putting out dirty DC and causing the control boards on refrigerators to shut down on a fault. The fix is to replace at least the charging section of the converter. I am not saying this is the problem, just that it is a possiblity. If the unit will work on a charged batttery, not plugged into shore power or have a generator running, but shortly faults out when shore power is used this could be the reason. Good luck and keep us posted.

There have been some posts in the past about the florescent ballast causing problems with the NorCold. RVWizard spoke to inverters causing this problem and the florescent fixtures have mini inverters as part of the ballast. Problem only with shore power, generator or florescent lights on you have a clue where to look.
