Hi jeagle,
I’m with KIX, odds are it’s the flame sensor. If not here’s one to check, even though your refrigerator has been doing well for several years. The symptoms were identical, as the 11” of gas pressure slowly dropped in the section of line between the plug and the gas valve on the refrigerator. The easy way to know is to have someone watch the flame (in the dark if possible) as it’s turned on. If it stays the same amplitude and then shuts off, it will usually be the flame sensor (search the net to see how to repair). If it slowly decreases in amplitude and then finally goes out, it could very well be a plug that has developed over time.
On ours, the refrigerator wouldn’t run correctly on LP and the factory service center couldn’t find the problem after two tries. I decided I would find the problem myself and found a rubber plug in a gas line fitting under the coach where the flex line to the refrigerator connects to the steel pipe of the coach.
I disconnected the line at the gas valve of the refrigerator and then listened to the sound of the gas flowing through the line. It made a gurgling sound and there was no real detectable flow of gas. Once the clog was cleared, the sound was more of a hiss with gas blowing against you face. That is the only Norcold we’ve had that worked well from then on.
