We have been in our 08 Voyage 32H for the past 8 months, traveling the States. My wife noticed that the fins in the Refrigerator have iced up to big mounds. We defrosed the frig a month ago and have now noticed them iced up ( a lot ) again. Is it normal for this much build up so soon?

I read earlier threads of the frig not staying on when switched to the propane mode. I will take off my cover and see about the soot build up.

A few items to check are: the door seals clean and tight, do you have the temperature setting too high(too cold),is the door being opened a lot and held open while deciding what to remove. This type refrigerator is slow to recover from opening the door. For instance, when making temperature adjustments, both Dometic and Norcold say to allow 24 hours for the adjustment to have full effect.

Also, one of the popular small circulation fans up in the fin area goes a long ways in keeping air moving and evening out temps inside the refrigerator...
