Norcold Refrigerator Question
Is it common for the two cooling fans to go out at the same time?

Ok. With the upper access panel removed, I can hear the fan (or fans) turning on for 1 or 2 seconds, then they turn off.
Does this mean that the thermistor is going bad?
Where do I get another thermistor? Are they generic, or Refrigerator specific?

I think that it’s actually called a thermostat, instead of a thermistor.

Old-Biscuit, you’re right.
I’m overthinking this.
I’ll just bypass the thermostat, & see if the fans kick in.

Norcold Refrigerator Question
I was thinking that, if I DID end up needing a new thermostat, I would have to order one online. Then, have to wait for it to arrive.
Checked around.
Found out that the local Camping World has them in stock.

I know this is not what you are saying but on my old 1200 LRIM the twin fans would stop when you open the frig door and verified that it was normal.

Norcold Refrigerator Question
I would try to do a search for your specific model on YouTube and watch some troubleshooting there. Some can be very helpful. There is another thread on here currently similar issues. I guess unfortunately when there are issues with these units they tend to be similar.

Norcold Refrigerator Question
I unplugged the thermistor, but was not able to get a resistance reading because my testing probes were too short to reach inside of the harness plug. I did not have a thermometer, so I could not get an accurate temperature reading.
I now have a thermometer.
Anyway, after plugging the thermistor back in, after a while, it started to cool down.
It seems to be staying at 38°.
Is 38° about normal for an RV refrigerator?

Jumped from FANS in exterior compartment to unplugging/plugging in thermistor in the food compartment
YES 38*F in the food compartment is IDEAL

My methodology in trouble shooting this issue was really crappy.

Thermistor can be unplugged too and run for a few hrs without it being controlled. The ohms check in water actually does work for that. So have you done anything or did it just start working? Now the real test is seeing how it will perform driving down the road and parked at a campsite?
