Norcold two door refrigerator problem
Help needed
My friend has a 2015 Winnebago Vista 35' with a two door Norcold refrigerator inside the left hand door there are three sprung loaded push pins on the actual door itself and three buttons inside the refrigerator. I have put a meter on push pins to see if it had any voltage also checked buttons nothing that made sense. Can anyone tell me what these are and what they do Norcold won't help with any questions about there products no helpful tech support and Winnebago refers you to Norcold any advise or help would be appreciated. I'm trying to help him as he has struggled with problems with this coach since purchased he spent a lot of time and money following advise from Norcold taking it to different service centers and no one has help him yet.
Thank You in advance

Any chance you could add the Norcold model number to your post.
BTW: On some , if not all Norcold RV fridges , they have cooling fans that vent up the back of the unit to aide cooling in hot weather . These fans shut down when the door is opened ( for what ever reason ) .
The fans only run when the sensor ; located in the top of the fridge chimney hits a certain temp ; if the buttons are to shut the fans off , testing when the fans aren't running will get no results.
BTW: Is there a problem with the fridge operation or are you just trying to determine what the contacts are for?

Those three pins/buttons are for an embedded heater around door frame
IIRC the wiring is 2 White/1 Green
DC Power when fridge is turned ON......heater energized when doors are closed
Then PINs can be pulled straight out and cleaned using some WD-40 and a little steel wool on ends
The buttons are permanently encased in the plastic
Model would be very helpful.

Thank you for that information, yes I found the wires happened to be tucked behind door seal. Can you explain the reason for the heaters ?
Thanks again I'll pass this on to my friend won't solve his problem but at least can eliminate that as being the cause of fridge warming up when he's travelling. Unless these switches make and brake when unit is going down the road, seems to work fine when stationary and plugged into shore power.

If the fridge is in a slide, while the RV is in motion; fridge running on propane the problem mat be that the air flow down the side of the RV doesn't allow the unit enough venting to cool properly.
Of course the question would be ; How warm in how many hours of driving?

Heater embedded is for 'condensation' control.
Use to have on/off switch but that has been deleted so when fridge is ON so is the frame heater

Those pins also provide power for the heater strip in the flap between the doors. Without the heaters condensation will run down the doors a drip onto the floor.
