OBD DATA PORT 1999 Ford F-53 chassis

Can anyone tell me where to find the data port for an OBD on a 1999 Winnebago Adventurer Ford F-53 chassis

Well, we have the same stripped chassis, so you should find it about 18" off the floor and an inch or two to the right of the steering column. Mine is barely visible between the crack of the dash and the steering column.

Ford delivers the chassis to the manufacturer with the obd11 port fastened to the steering wheel support. They provide a two foot lead, so the manufacturer can move it if there dash installation covers it. There is a small black cover on the port when new. Because the lead is only two feet. it will be close to the steering wheel support.

so there is a possibility that it has a cover on it correct, and it is possibly on the right side of the steering column. I don't know why they make it so hard to find

Ford does not make it hard to find. As usual, its the finished product that causes the problem. That is why they provide the two foot lead. On my pace Arrow, It is out in the open when you lift the dash cover. It is the MH manufacturer that makes it easy or hard to access. Just grab your flashlight and a mirror & goodluck.
