Question Oil Change on Adventurer P30 Chevy 454 (Funnel help!)

Changing the oil on our new (to us) 1994 Adventurer 32RQ with a Chevy 454 engine. The fill tube is back inside the engine bay far enough and there is such a small opening with the hood down that I am having fits pouring oil in w/o getting it all over the front grill and/or other engine parts. I have a pretty good assortment of funnels already including two flexible spout models and a long, clear vinyl model but NONE of them are working too well. Somebody have a link to a long and/or flexible funnel that works for this application?

Can you pull the motor cover off and put the oil in through the valve cover like normal? If not maybe a low out put pump and pump it it. I have to pump the oil out of the dip stick holder on my boat. Good luck

If your '94 GM chassis is like my '99, the metal oil filler neck is connected to a rubber hose that attaches to the valve cover. You can disconnect and move the metal filler forward about 3 inches, still using the original mounting clamp, then buy a longer length of oil resistant hose and re-connect everything. Of course, the angle of the filler neck is the same, but it's much easier to add oil. I also remember seeing, somewhere, plastic extensions that attach to the filler neck and use the original filler cap.
