So when im plugged into shore power on my 1971 brave the converter works because all my 12v lights work and my 120v works. Heres the problem I noticed that the deep cycle was hooked up to the engine and the coach battery leads where laying in the battery tray which of course is steel so im wondering if the charging part of it is gone or not and if there is a 12v fuse somewhere that i can replace. Like i said before i switched the batterys the converter was working and it works now and should i leave the lights on to drain the battery and see if it brings it back up. battery is reading 12.5. volts when on shore power and also have one more ? I put on a old battery that was reading .12v for the engine battery and the coach battery was reading 12.5 and would not spin the moter over fast enough for it to fire is that because the engine battery was so drained.

Anyway thanks for the help if you can we are getting rain in richmond va, but hey the roof doesnt leak anymore but on a bad not gas jumped 30c/gal to 2.70 gal

Thanks and happy motoring

Jeff

If the battery is charging you should read about 13.5 volts across the terminals. If you're only reading 12.5 volts the indication is that it is not charging.

I don't know if there is a fuse or not but I would imagine that there is one in the charging circuit.
