Ok what the heck is doing this? Checked the outside cage and no
dubers or mice of the bird cage.

Darn I was hoping someone would have an answer for you. My rear air conditioner/heat pump (Dometic) rattles loud enough that we can't sleep with it on. Since we should still be under warranty mine will be going back to the dealer for this soon. I did read somewhere that the aluminum insulation tape in the ducts sometimes comes loose and makes noise but I don't think that is my problem unless it is hitting the fan.

My tape is loose and it sounds like water bubbling. Drives me crazy and it is in the supply duct between the center and rear unit. I can see it but can't get to it.

Good Luck. My rear Coleman started rattling then quit cooling. Now the coach is in the shop and they are replacing it.

Take a look at this thread in particular the posting from "Duner". It seems to be a fairly common problem and he did an excellent writeup on fixing it. So far it hasn't hit me (crossing all fingers and toes!!)...

Jon better take a couple credit cards on that one. I have read Duner's
post. Some have said mud dubers, but that is not it....probably a bearing.....

Diagnosis was that it had sprung a leak and lost all of the refrigerant. Since they are sealed units it had to be replaced.

Also had to install the right control box for the heat pump on the front AC since they installed the wrong one at the factory.

Total bill $1,489.00.
