Onan Autostart EC 30 on my 99 adventure?

I have talked with our local cummins onan dealer but they have not worked at all with this setup so they just are telling me that it's a no go for the EC 30w autostart system on my LP6500 watt onan Generator. Is there anyone on here that has installed this on a coach of my year or older. i seen one was installed on a 2000. did i just miss the break?
