Indeed! The dealer must agree to order a replacement unit in order for the customer to receive the rebate. If the dealer doesn't agree to order a replacement at the time of the sale, the customer does not "qualify" for the rebate.

Winnebago Industries will not divulge any details directly to the customer. Instead they insist that you contact a dealer. Over the last few days I have learned that many dealers do not intend to honor the rebate. Some claim they do not know anything about a rebate. The general consensus seems to be that if the dealer has to replace the unit, they intend to keep the rebate money for themselves.

In my humble opinion the whole offer seems to be a sham and makes me question Winnebago and their dealer's integrity.
