The wife & I picked up a 2005 Itasca 33V with the workhorse chassie last September we just returned from California visting our son & daughter in law had a great time, weather was pretty wet & stormy but still averaged 7.9 mpg everything worked perfectly was impressed with the pulling power of the 8.1 on the mountain passes the Allison would downshift to third gear, pulled strong at around 4,000 rpm didn't miss a beat can't wait to take off again Thanks to all on this great forum I've learned a lot of maintence tips to keep the workhorse running strong.

Welcome to a great life style, you might consider joining the Winnebago Itasca Travelers, WIT, a travel club sponsored by Winnebago with state and local chapters. A great bunch of people and a 10% discount on parts and labor.

We have a '04 32V Sunrise, and fully agree. Did you tow anything? You got pretty good milage. Did you use the MPG figures from the onboard computer or actual figures?

Great choice of your motorhome

I bought mine new and have 30,000 miles on it and she purrs like a kitten. On a trip to FL and back last year, I averaged high 6's to low 7's. I was towing my Jeep Grand Cherokee though. Your mileage sounds typical, unless your hauling something like I am, then you are doing very well..

You might want to figure out the real milage. I've found my computer based milage pretty optimistic, sadly. About 10% off. I fill up, note milage, then next fill take the total milage since last fill and divide that by the number of gallons used. I keep a travel/fuel log, and use the small calculator I keep in the logbook. Another sad thing I see very time I look at the logbook - seeing the cost of fuel rise soooo much since last year.
