Motorhome is a 2004 Sightseer 30B

Problem is the outside entertainment center radio/CC player suddenly developed a mind of its own. After putting the winter cover on I went inside and turned on the master relay to get lights. I noticed a whirring and clicking coming from under the kitchen cabinet. Turns out to be the radio /cd player.
LDisplay lghts were on, speakers were hissing and clicking and the cd mechanism sounds like it is trying to eject a cd.

Could not turn unit off, change volume, the display showed no text.

Tried cycling power using the master switch again, same result.

Had to disassemble part of the cabinet to get access to the power wires and unplugged the power.

Last time the entertainment center was used was Memorial Day.

I don't use it, but should get the radio replaced.

Any advice on how to remove the radio? Is there a quick way to get it out from the outside, or do I have to do it from inside the cabinet? I will neeed to be a contortionist to get in there with the slide retracted.

Any advice appreciated

Wayne

There should be a "removal tool" in your owner's bag ... it probably looks like two U shaped wires ... you push the wires in four slots ... two slots on the left ... two slots on the right ...

This should unlatch the fasteners that hold the radio in place .

I had to remove a small plastic gizmo that was around the body of the radio in order to see the holes where the removal tool goes ...

What brand of radio do you have in your outside entertainment center? Ours is a Magnadyne. It is removed with a tool resembling a flat screwdriver. The tool holds the mounting clips in so that the radio can be slid out, one side at a time. Good Luck,
