The device which displays compass direction and outside temp now is living in some fantasy land and giving crazy sub-zero readings and ice warnings. This happened before right after we took delivery of our coach and the deal said they replaced it. It worked ok for 3 years but has now gone south again.

I can have my dealer replace it again under my extended wty but is this a known problem and is there an easy "clean the sensor" kind of fix?

Thanks,

Rick

I went through the same thing about a year ago. If you do a search on this you will find a pretty long thread and the fix for it. What I did briefly was replace the outside temp. sensor which is located right under the drivers side front cap. You can get this sensor from the company that makes your unit. I cannot remember their name but they were very helpful and that new sensor took care of the problem. Call Winny and they will give you the companies name and number. Good luck.

Thanks much. I'll look for your thread but if it looks like it's going to be a pain I might just let my dealer replace it under extended wty.

No big pain at all to replace the temp sensor. Will take longer to find it then replace it. It is a black sensor about the size of cigarette lighter but more round. It will be held in place with an electrical tie and bracket. It is simply a plug and play. You will find it by laying in your back right under the drivers side front (mine was right in line with the steering wheel) just up from the fog lamp. You might want to locate it and clean it before you order another one. A friend on mine had the same problem and just cleaning the sensor was all his needed.
