"Oven" cleaning

We have a Sharp insight combo microwave/convection. What can I use besides soap and water,as recommended? That is not working for me!

I've heard that you can put a cup of water in your microwave and set it for 1 or 2 minutes. This will loosen and dirt/grime. Wipe with some Dawn water mixture and rinse. Not sure if this will work in Micro/convection models though.

Put some vinegar in with that bowl of water and boil it in there good, leave it closed up for 3-5 minutes and give it a try.....

Vinegar and water works for me. I let it boil enough to steam up the inside then let it set about 20 minutes then use 409 and a magic eraser. Finish with Stainless Steel Magic wipes.
