Oven removal for storage?

We have a 2010 Vista 26P and I would like to replace the magic Chef stove and oven with a stove top only and put a drawer under it as I can build a drawer. We never use the oven and could use the extra space for storage.

Has anyone done this and have suggestions on a stove top.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Lynn

I' sure it can be done. The 2010 Vista came standard with a cooktop and storage drawers below. Here's a link to the 2010 Vista brochure.

Page 4 shows the standard equipment and the options.

The 3 burner stove with oven was an option. You might call or email Winnebago customer service to ask which cooktop they used. You may also be able to get prints and part numbers for the cabinetry.

tinkerman, here is a link to some drawing that will help a little. Like Hikerdogs said talk to Winnebago and they will send you the cabinet details for the range area.

Oven gone, drawers in.
We had the same issue. No decent cutlery drawer or drawers in general. Never used the oven except for storage.

What and loose the bread box. Might check with Winni as they may have parts you could just install(cabinet, drawers). I am amazed at the things in stock.

My Journey came stock from the factory with drawers instead of an oven. Len's suggestion is a good one, Winnebago may have everything in stock, even matching your existing woodwork.
