My Voyage has a cabinet over the dash with no TV mounted in it. I'm just curious----how much weight it that thing designed to carry? I'd hate to be going down the road and have whole thing come down on DW"s lap. That, I'm sure, would be the end of a great relationship!

Winnebago builds their cabinets and walls with steel reinforcements in them which makes them pretty sturdy. I have a friend who was a RV salesman and would actually chin himself on one of the cabinets to show how strong they were. I don't think you need to worry about the TV cabinet in a Winnebago product (although other brands may not be built as strongly).

The framework of the cab is rectangular steel tubing welded together.
The over dash cabinet in mine (it did come with a 65 pound TV mounted in it) is bolted to that framework. It will carry a lot - certainly more than 65 pounds.
