overhead lens falling

Has anyone develolped a fix for overhead lights and falling plastic lenses?

After every trip I am picking them up off the floor.

I can not be the only one. Thanks for any help.

I had the same problem with the light in my closet. I cut a piece of lath the right length to spread the lens and then I used my wifes hair dryer to heat it up just enough to allow it to reform to the new width. I left it to cool overnight in that position and it has been OK since.

I like Don's idea better than what I did, but I put a drop of silicon caulk on each side.

I also use a drop of silicone (which I learned from this site) but like the hair dryer idea a lot. I will try that if I have further problems.
