Question Overnight at Walmart 42e

Hello I've recently acquired a Winnebago Journey 42e 3 slides. Question is how or where do you sleep with no slides out? As I understand your not supposed to put slides out at truckstops or walmarts. Not planning on doing alot but just wondering. TIA

We have the journey 40 r and have run into this same issue. I try to stop early and try to park in an spot where no one can park on one side of me. If the open area is on my drivers side then I put my bed slide out and we sleep in the bed. If the open area is on my door side then I put the door side slide out and we make up the couch for the night. If we stop later we go for Sam’s or Walmart and then all the slides are out and we get comfortable.

We usually leave the living room slide in, but put the bedroom slide out. Never had any issues.

Seen many, many RVs with slides out in Walmart. There is plenty of room, if your sideways to the lines, using up 6 or 7 spots. That's what I do.

Seen some slides out in Pilot Flying J truck stops but only if on the end space of RV parking area or along the curbs. I don't go in the truck area.

If your floorplan requires a slide out to sleep flat (i.e. the platform has to raise the head to fit when the slides are in), I'd arrive early enough to snag a curb spot so you can orient your coach to get your headboard slide out.

One requirement we had with our last 2 coach purchases with bedroom slides: I had to be able to use the bed even with no slides out.
