P-32 Auto Park Brake Failure

We own a 2004 Sightseer on the Workhorse P-32 chassis. I had the coach in the tire shop for rotation and balance and when I went to pick it up the auto brake wouldn't release. The owner's manual talks about a manual release and I was able to get the cotter pin and washers off put the pin would not pry out. Had to leave it there and will see about towing to a shop on Monday. I know I have read about issues with these brakes but a search on this forum keeps coming up blank.

My question is does any one know if the coach is moved prior to the brake cycling off would that cause an issue. The shop did move the coach and not sure if the guy moving it new about this type of brake. Also it seems like I read about converting these to a manual system rather than the power system which as I recall some posts indicated they can be problematic. Thanks in advance for any comments

You need to get in touch with Roger Hagg AKA oldusedbear. He is the Best person on the Planet when it comes to the Autopark design issues, and cures!

Don't know why you had a search issue, use the Search 'powered by Google' function at the top right of the page, not the 'Drop Down' Search function.

I agree with Rob, Roger is the expert.

Good news the auto-park system is functioning again. Thanks to all especially Roger. He is definitely the source of info for this system. I now know what pump I have and how to some of the less complicated repairs. I am downloading and printing his PDF info I found at www.rvautopark.com/autopark-faq site and make sure I have it in the coach along with spare switches. It is nice to have fellow Rv'ers willing to share what they have learned.
