Thumbs down Parts from selling dealer

Does your selling dealer make you prepay for parts - mine just started this policy. I know why they do it. but it seems petty to prepay $100 for a part when I spent over 200K with them on the MH

Just venting I guess

I can understand your frustration with this policy, but I think a lot of dealers have ordered parts only to have the customer order it online because they found it cheaper. They are then either stuck with the part or have to pay the freight to get it back. But after spending 200k they should have cut you a bit of a break.

If they have to order it, making you pre-pay helps guarantee that you'll show up and they won't have to store it or ship it back.

After spending 200k, what I'd be looking for is an "at cost" discount for a few years.. Or some amount off retail, but I'd be willing to pre-pay.
