We have a 2001 Adventurer 32V on an F53 chassis with an annoying heater "problem". Any time the temp dial on the dash is turned to the heat position. Warm (hot) air seeps out of the lower dash vents on the passengers' side. It gets so warm on that side of the coach that my wife becomes uncomfortable. I don't think there's anything wrong with the system (the doors all open and close properly. The warm air just seeps through the vents.
I have been trying to find vent ports that will allow the louvers to close (like the ducted ones in the ceiling) but so far I haven't been able to come up with any in the smaller size. Has anyone else experienced this condition, and if so have you found a cure that doesn't involve taping the things shut, or totally remodeling the heating system?
Thanks.

Well I dont know what the vent looks like but you might try this.

Get some foam or even styrofoam and carve it to fit the vent hole to the proper size that its a tight fit. Pock a small hole in the middle of it and put a rope or cord in the hole and tie it to a washer on the back side to keep the cord from pulling out then when you push it in the hole you can remove it by pulling the cord.
Oh you can also spray paint it to match the colors of the cabin so it is not noticable.

I dont know if you have the room in the vent for this but if you do it could be a cheap easy fix, hope that helps.
