I need to remove the pocket door between our Kitchen and bath so I can replace the latch. I know I need to remove the wood panel covering the slide rail at the top. Do I need to remove the wood panel on both sides? Has anyone performed this door removal that can give me some advice?

Hello...
Don't remove any of the wood panels.
Look at the slide wheel, they are suspended by a threathed screw, whitch is in a KEY SLOT.
Each wheel is held in this key slot by a plastic lock.
I know this is clear as mudd, but look real close at the wheel assembly, you will see the locks.
PM me if more words and maybe some pix will help...
David

I needed to remove mine because I didn't have clearance to move the door out once dropped. I removed only the side that I brought the door out on, and the panel now has Velcro on it.

Thanks, I can see a white plastic device on the side of the door near the wheels. How do I move this device to release the door?
