I too am adding a portable freezer to the bay area, perfect fit, added cooling vents, run 110v power to entertainment bay with ON/OFF switch, etc.

QUESTION: While in RV park, of course, will be hooked up to shore power, but while on the road, I plan on turning on the inverter, 2000w, to power it that way.

The freezer is a Haier 1.3 cu ft. 110v 60hz.

Sound like a plan??

Later,

I purchased an Engle. this is very nearly identical to one by Norcold, right down to the price tag... It runs on either 12 VDC or 120VAC When running on 12vdc it draws a great whomping 36 watts (next to nothing) or about 3 amps. I mean the dash radio sucks more power than that. Works great,, The one I have is rated in 12 oz soda pop cans and holds, as I recall 43 of 'em.. Very happy with it

Just now since the rig is still in "parked for the winter" mode. the Engle is in the stick kitchen.. Keeping food frozen

John-D, I thought that was what Detroit was for in the winter, keeping food frozen!!

Seriously, does your freezer draw the same amps and watts on 110v?
