Potential leak in the making?

Recently noticed what might be a need-to-do-maintenace item... looks like the sealing material around the drivers and passenger side-windows might need to be resealed... or do they? Even though the material has cracked / split apart, the material under the window frame would still be intact. Do the windows need to be resealed so they won't leak, or is leaking not really any issue here, more cosmetic?

Thank you. -RT

I would recaulk. I scraped away the old material on mine over the last couple of weeks and resealed the seams and windows this last weekend. That way it won't begin to leak or continue to leak. If it is leaking now you won't know until damage is done. Take the time and a couple of tubes of RV caulking and do it. I call it my putter time. Allows me to listen to baseball on the radio and continue to work outside. Ya gotta love opening day.

Thanks for the reply. Do you think I need to pull the windows, or just clean up the old sealant and run a new bead along the frame? -RT
