I noticed a propane leak at my propane tank coming from the gauge where it attaches to the tank itself at the threads. Any suggestions on how to repair or where to go and get this repaired. Any and all help/suggestions/experience will be appreciated. This is on a 2005 Winnebago Adventurer 35A.

I had that happen. Emptied the tank, soaked the threads going into the tank with WD-40 and then removed gage. Installed a new gauge since I had it out but could have used gas thread tape and cured the problem. The valve was not defective. Threads just needed resealing

It's doubtful if any gas company in the US would even think about replacing the guage, what with all the laws and lawyers looking to get rich.

Then there's the availability of a new gas guage. The old one has probably been outlawed and a new replacement only comes with a new DOT, ect., certified tank.

Never hurts to look though,,,,,,,,,,,,

Not true. The ASME tank in your RV has a gauge attached to a pivot, rod, and float that shows the liquid level in the tank.

Section N: Cylinders, Tanks & Gauges

You will have to empty the tank, check around at local LP dealers to see if they can pump it out for you. Then unscrew the gauge assembly. According to how rusted or damaged the threads are, you may be able to just use approved sealing tape to reinstall. If the tank is badly rusted, it might be required to replace the tank. Go to the LP dealer that can empty tank (and credit you the LP) and see what they suggest.

The propane tank on my 2004 leaked last year and I took it to Forest City. They tried to weld it and that didn't take so they replaced the tank (Well out of the warranty period). This was NOT a leak at the place you have but as a thought you might try asking them for help.
