Pulling out Maytag frig
I'm trying to get to the back of my Maytag frig in my 2012 Ellipse. I have removed the two brackets in the front that hold the frig to the floor, but it won't budge when I try to pull it out. Any ideas anyone?

On my 2014 Tour 42QD there are two brackets on the top of the refrigerator that are screwed to the outside wall. The front of these brackets are connected to the top door hinges. Check the top of your refrigerator I don't think they would not secure the top of the unit also.

Thanks all, found the upper brackets. I think the high voltage power control board has failed.

The same circuit board failed on our Maytag in our 2011 Ellipse 42QD which is a known problem for that model. Simple to replace once you get access but it sure was a chore getting that fridge out far enough to get back there. The biggest problem I had was getting the front lower brackets on the fridge up and over the carpet so that it would slide out. Ended up placing a piece of sheet metal from side to side and got it under the brackets. That allowed it to slide out reasonably well. Fridge works like it should now. Good luck.

No, that was the easy part. It might have taken me a time or two to get the correct sequence but, programming was straight-forward. Get your code from the inside right side of the fridge and follow the instructions. I used this YouTube clip and it went exactly as shown.
Other than prying that darn fridge out of it's hole, all went very smoothly.

One frustrating situation however, I had ordered the board online and a core charge was added as was expected but when I returned the board, I did not return it in the original box that it was shipped in. I instead picked out a much more stout box and shipped it. Problem was, the company would not refund my core charge because "it was not returned in the original shipping box". Oh boy! If you ordered yours and it has a core charge, look at the return instructions carefully if you have to ship it back. That was a $60 lesson on my part.
