Qualified Body Shop in New England

04 Journey 39W...

I can't seem to figure out how to load an image into a post, but my problem is a "crack" in the fiberglas which runs down and forward from the lower, front corner of the B/R slideout at a 45 degree angle. When the slide is extended the crack opens to a sixteenth or an eighth of an inch in width... about ten inches long. It was present when I bought the coach not long ago.

I had an auto body shop of a friend "repair" it, but it has reappeared after five or six slide extension sequences. Obviously the problem is more than skin deep.

Has anyone had "structural" repair work done in the New England area? Something more than cosmetics...perhaps going down to the studs and adding/rewelding bracing?

Not sure were in New England you are but you may want to check out Tom Schafferís RV in Hamburg PA. They are an RV dealer with a very nice body shop designed for RVs. I had some bodywork done there and was very satisfied. I had to drive 2.5 hours to get there and felt is was well worth it.
