We own a 2004 Winnebago Brave RV - we want to do something with the carpet around the counsol that sits between the drivers and passenger seats in the front, there are four screws holding it in place and we wanted to know if it is safe to unscrew the consol and make a carpet templet? My husband says he isn't sure if there might be bolts or something under the consol and screws where he might not be able to get it back on, does anyone know? Thanks for any help.

If its like my 02, there will be screws around the front edge and a lock that requires an allen wrench on the back. This lock is a little trickey to begin with. Dog box should then lift off and when ready, just reverse the procedure to reinstall. Before putting back on, make sure all seals are in place.
Good luck

I went on the Winnebago site and looked at your M/H and if you mean the plastic console that has the cup holders and a lift up lid with small box for storage then it's the same as my '03 Sightseer.
The screws on mine are sheet metal screws had have no nuts on the other side.
