Quick fix for hood latch

Just thought I would pass on a quick fix. Many winne owners have had the hood hold down bracket epoxied to the front cab come loose. Ours just did on our last trip. Today while doing an oil change and grease job I looked at it and decided for. Quick fix just so I could latch the hood I cut a piece of wood just long enough and wedged it from the firewall to the inside of the bracket.

Works a treat until I get around to doing it properly. Also noted that on the last grease job we had done on the road, the zerk on top of the left king pin had lots of grease outside it and it took an extra amount when I greased it. Whatever will I do when I cannot do it myself anymore? The newly installed Fumoto valve did work well and make a messy job neater.

I have already had to re-epoxy one on my Forza. I also wired both of them, so if they come off, I won't lose them. Or risk running over it and blowing a tire.
