It is a walk in the park. I just changed mine out to a JVC HD and it was a 1 hr job including replacing the front speakers with a set of Pioneers.

My coach came with the Sony so the plugs were a perfect match with the JVC. Too bad Circuit City is going out as that is where I would have gone first before Best(it should really be Worst) Buy. If you spring the extra $10 to $20 for the HD now you won't regret it. Mine came to less than $140 not including the speakers.

Our local Circuit City is still in business, at least for awhile, run, don't walk there , you might just get a bargain. Another thought is Overstock and other on line retailers.

Installing a new radio is fairly straightforward, and is really easy if you can get the right wiring harness. You can normally buy an "installation kit" with the required harness for a car that will plug directly into both the radio and your vehicle ...not as straight-forward on a motorhome ...might take some comparing to see what you actually have in the coach. If the right harness doesn't come with the new radio, I would start with a Ford harness on my coach as my OEM radios are standard in many Ford cars.

I'm not very "technical" but my radio recently failed and I went to Best Buy and bought the same brand and replaced my old radio.

Not really difficult at all. If you buy a different brand it will be a little more difficult but doable.

That is why I liked Circuit City so much. When I changed out the original Sony in my previous coach, a 95 Vectra, I just pulled the wireing harness adapter that had the Sony plug on one end and the Winnie on the other and they were able to Id the Sony plug as old style and the Winnie plug as custom. Since their techs knew the color codes like the backs of their hands $10 dollars and 10 minutes later I walked out with an updated adapter that worked perfectly.

On the new radio since it was over $100 I could have opted for free installation instead of doing it myself but I didn't feel like making a second trip to bring the coach over there.
