Has anyone tried to replace the speakers above the couch? I know there are two - 1 for the tv which I don't need and 1 for the radio. I'd like to replace the two with one like a 6 X 9. I was able to remove the panel, but how do you really get to the speakers?

The rear speakers on my 2004 34D were smaller than I thought they would be. I believe they were 5-1/4" rounds. On the passenger side the rear speaker was accessed by removing the interior side panel of the cabinet. The one on the couch/dinette side was accessed by removing the fabric covered panel on the underside of the overheads. Because the panels are fabric covered the only easy way to replace/upgrade the speakers is using similar sized, mounting them from behind like the originals. If you want to install a larger or different shape you will need to remove the fabric and re-work the cut outs. I would suggest opening up the access panels before buying your speakers. Looking from the outside you would think you can easily fit a 6x9" in there but there is not as much free space behind as you would think. I also had to install some spacers on the speakers because they protruded beyond the mounting face.

Reading your reply and from what I saw, it would not be an easy task trying to replace those devils. Thanks for your help.
