The ABS / Plastic bumper is glued to the mounting hardware, but on each side is hole where a plastic ring and fastener goes through with a painted to match cap on the outside.

Does any one know how these fasten? ie do not want to take a good unbroken one apart to find out.

What they are called, What the fasteners look like, so I can get more than the Blank stares I get at the RV Dealership

Steve ... Mike has it right. The center round cover of the plastic ring pops out to find the screw underneath. And the white plastic doesn't hold paint well ...I have had to touch up the plastic pieces several times to keep them from looking too unsightly against the dark paint around them.

Automotive paint stores sell a product called Bulldog. It's a clear "primer" coat to use on plastic like plastic bumpers, etc. When this is used first the color paint will adhere. If it's a particularly small area you are painting you can dab some on with the end of a "paper" match from a book of matches using the torn end.

Thanks Mike for your input I found the parts under screw covers as you said in the Winnebago RV Parts and Accessories book by looking in the index. Feel kinda a dumb but then I did not what they were called.

Thanks every one for your input

Merry Christmas
