rear heat pump on gen

For 4 years I have been running my rear air/heat pump on the generator but 4 weeks ago it quit working on the gen but works ok on shore power. any suggestions?

There should be 2 breakers on the generator control panel. After opening the compartment and removing the front panel the control panel will be on the upper left. There's usually a start/stop switch and 2 breakers. To reset the breakers flip them fully to the off position then to the on position.


You can start the unit using the rocker switch. Hold it in the off position until a green light shows. Then push on the other end of the switch to engage the starter and start the engine. You can only hold the switch in the start position for 15 seconds. If the generator doesn't start let it rest a minute and repeat the process. Once the generator starts there is a slight delay (up to 30 seconds) before it will begin to generate current. Be sure to replace the front panel. It helps direct the flow of air around the generator and engine to provide cooling.
