Well the heavy old analog tv in the rear of my coach has finally died; not too disappointed since I want to replace it with a flat screen digital and use that valuable storage in the cabinet behind it. I would like to find a tv/dvd combo but would settle for a tv and a seperate blue ray if that will work. I am open for any suggestions on types of tv's and hints on how best to install it. The "hole" for the old tv is 21" wide and 19" high. Not sure how big of a screen I can get for that hole. Any help will be appreciated.

Someone once warned me against getting the TV/DVD combo as if either part fails, you have to replace both pieces. And the DVD is probably more likely to fail. Other than that, I have found that when you buy electronics, you get what you pay for...

Mine hasn't failed, but I am replacing it. On mine a 22" seems to be the best fit. I also was thinking of the TV/DVD combo. I want to get one with several inputs, so can view pictures, connect camera and play MP3s. With the low cost replacement plans, I'm not too worried about the brands.

I made the same change out a TV w/DVD in the rear cabinet. I basically started by determining the largest TV/DVD that would fit the opening. That kind of automatically limited the brand because not all manufacturers make the same size. It so happens the one I found at Best Buy was on sale and a top brand name.

There are so many brands and models available and they seem to hold up well in an RV---so unless you go to the ultra cheap it is very easy to find something that works great and last.

The prices are falling daily it seems and right before Christams they will go down even more---so you are in a buyers market---have fun.

I removed mine last night. I will post pictures when I replace it with a flat screen.
