I have not had the same problem that you are experiencing but I had a similar problem.

To help you determine whether the problem lies in your switchbox or in the wiring ... I suggest you try a couple of things.

a) temporarily interchange the cables on the back of the switchbox going to the front and back TVs ... if the front TV now behaves like the back TV (and vise versa) then the problem is in the switchbox.

if that shows that your switchbox is not the problem then

b) buy a long enough coax cable to temporarily run from the switchbox to the rear TV ...

this should help you determine if the problem is in the cabling or in the tuner of the rear TV.

I hope this helps you narrow down your problem.

P.S. My problem was in the cabling ... fortunately I caught while under warranty. The factory had to remove several overhead cabinets to find a faulty connection in the coax cabling

Our rear antenna signal is identical to the front antenna signal, whether analog or digital ...so is the outside TV which mirrors the rear TV. I suspect if you follow skigramp's suggestion, you are likely to find a problem in the cabling somewhere between the switch box and the rear TV. It is possible to have a bad connection somewhere, or to have a damaged cable (screw or staple through it, etc).

Whenever a dealer tells me "oh, they're all that way," I know what they really mean is "we'd rather ignore your problem than try to resolve it."

hi..i checked the box and wire integrity as skigramp suggested and found no difference so i interchanged the boxes and found the back worked but the front didn't..i did an initial setup on the front box and it also worked..apparantly the manual add channel feature didn't work..checking the signal strength on both the back signal is slightly weaker than the front but not enough to prevent reception..thanks for the replies..jim..

We have the same rig as you(01 Suncruiser 35U) and if anything the rear TV gets slightly better reception than the front - go figure.
