Rear view camera says no signal side cameras work fine 2006 Meridian

We have taken off the top and checked the connections. The side cameras work perfectly the rear camera says not working some of the time and then intermittently comes on. Thanks for ideas

"Intermittent" almost always means connectivity (plug) problems. At the camera, it needs 12VDC and it's output (video) via the connector close by. However, in the dash (behind the monitor), the RCA (video) plug might be loose. Then there's that 1% where the camera itself is dying.

Look around the back cap and on the ground under the coach for any indication of rodents. I recently helped a friend replace his camera and cable harness all the way from the replacement camera to new monitor after rats chewed through it. IIRC there is a pigtail off the camera a few feet long into a connector and into the harness. You SHOULD have enough play to pull up the harness from the camera hole and check it.

I also changed out my monitor.. got tired of it winking out too..

I had that problem with one of my side cameras. It turned out to be a small nick in the cable. I found it by removing a few screws to get access to the back of the monitor and swapping camera cables around. With your problem, you could remove the rear camera and connect it to one of your side camera cables.

Over 80% of all 12V problems are the result of a poor/missing ground. That happened to my rear camera twice.
