Can anyone tell me an easy way to access the back or the rearview monitor on a 2006 Itasca? I want to see if I can connect a cable from our laptop to the monitors "B" or "C" port so I can see the GPS map running on the laptop.
Thanks,

Don't know if what you want to do is possible, but the way to access the back of the monitor is by removing the dash cover. There are screws around the top edge and then there are some down next to where it joins the dash.. Good Luck

The Sony monitor I have uses a special DIN-type connector; you will need an an adapter from the monitor jack to an RCA-type.
Your laptop will need to have a composite video output; I don't think the monitor output on the laptop is compatable with the monitor input as it sits.

John is correct. Your laptop will need either composite or S-video out. My Dell has VGA video output and I never could get laptop display on my Sony color BU monitor even with an adaptor that was supposed to work.

I did this on my 2005 Suncruiser. The inputs on the Sony monitor use a proprietary connector. The connector cost $20 and terminates in a RCA phone plug. You then need a RCA phone plug to S video adapter.
I found that the resolution of the Sony color monitor is not good enough to use with my mapping software.
What I plan on doing is using a 15" LCD monitor mounted unpside down from the front left overhead and feed the video out to that monitor.
If you're near Crystal River, FL you can stop and I'll show you my Sony monitor.

My Gateway laptop uses S-video out. I used an S-video to RCA composite adapter. Cost $1.50.

You can not use VGA video out to feed a TV monitor. Your laptop must have TV out, mostly in the form of an S-video connector.
