I have a RV friend who has trouble with the ventilation fan for his refrig. The unit is mounted in the slide on a Sunnybrook 5th wheel. The refrig does not cool down as it should. The freezer works fine. He installed a ventilation kit from Dometic. Did not improve the situation. Did not kick on at the indicated temp. Does anyone have an idea to help.
JB.

JB.
We need more information.

1. What temperature is it in the fridge/freezer?

2. What is the outside temperature?

3. What model refrigerator does he have?

4. Does this only happen on 120 vac or propane or both?

Sammie

I do not like the auto temp fans fro this application. I have mine direct wired with a manual switch to run even at the lower temps. The activation switch in the kits has the set point too high.

I run mine on a timeclock, set to go on during the day, and shuts the fan off at night. I use a 4" computer fan. Alot quieter, and more powerful. Works great.
