Used a drive shaft disconnect in my last toad. Worked slick. Took about 15 seconds to engage or disengage.

I have a 2001 GMC Sonoma 4wd. I have used the drive shaft disconnect and towed over 20,000 miles with no problems at all. Its easy to use and seems to be trouble free.

Now on my third lube pump. Have it on my 98 plymouth mini van. I think the problem is, they dont pump enough oil, and burn up, over long periods of being towed. My next toad, will be a vehicle, that doesn't need help to be towed. most likely a Saturn.

I use a remco driveshaft disconnect on my F-150 Larriat. The F-150 crew cab uses a long driveshaft with a carrier bearing. Remco furnished a new driveshaft so the assembly was balanced. I was worried about vibration during normal driving. I had it installed Nov 2006 and so far have had no problems. I paid to have it installed by someone who had installation experience. Steve

I have had the Remco disconnect on my 99 Explorer now for 6 years and have not had any problems with it. Like someone said above it is easy to use.
