Due to a wreck, my 7.5 KVA Onan generator is being replaced with a new 8.0 KVA Onan generator. I have a 2002 Ultimate Advantage (36C) and there is a remote generator switch and hour meter in the One Place Center at mid coach. My question is: can the remote hour meter be reset to zero for use with the new generator or will I have to purchase a new hour meter for use with the new generator.

Dave, I am pretty sure you cannot reset the meter to zero. A new meter is probably not very expensive.
If you look on the back of the meter itself you may find a manufacturer's name. If so you could Google it and see what you could find.

I would ask Onan.

I did call Onan and asked --- you can not reset the remote hour meter --- so I ordered a new replacement from PPL in Houston -- it was on sale (regular $118.00) for $59.00 --- it is a remote switch and hour meter -- I really don't need the switch but, I will keep it as a spare. It is an exact fit for the one I now have at the One Place.

Just thought I would update you re the meter.
