I have my sensor mounted in the slide out, on the outside wall. I have had no "wet" issues, but be aware if you are near a strong WIFI, you may lose the outside temp.

Mine are in the LP bay. Works great

The problem in my case is the generator is also in the LP bay.. sort of (The Generator is side mounted on my gasser, it and the LP tank, share a "pass though" segment, however the compartment is not pass through, the generator is hard backed, the LP open to air, no floor. )
